Job summary

OCL Group Inc. in Prince George, BC is seeking Journeyman Welders to join our safety-focused industrial crew. Read blueprints, perform welding with SMAW, GMAW, FCAW and MCAW, and maintain equipment to high standards.

Qualifications

  • Journeyperson Welder certification is required.
  • Valid safety certifications: AWP, Fall Arrest, Confined Space, WHMIS.
  • Industrial or mechanical experience is required.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
  • Legally eligible to work in Canada.

Responsibilities

  • Read blueprints and project specifications.
  • Weld using SMAW, GMAW, FCAW, MCAW.
  • Cut, grind, drill, and stamp materials as needed.
  • Conduct equipment maintenance per company and industry standards.
  • Work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Communicate project progress to your supervisor.

What You Will Be Doing
  • Read and interpret blueprints and project specifications
  • Perform welding using SMAW, GMAW, FCAW, and MCAW techniques
  • Cut, grind, drill, and stamp materials as needed
  • Conduct equipment maintenance in line with company and industry standards
  • Work independently with minimal supervision
  • Communicate project progress with your supervisor
What We Are Looking For
  • Journeyperson Welder certification
  • Valid safety certifications: AWP, Fall Arrest, Confined Space, WHMIS
  • Industrial or mechanical experience
  • A valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and commitment to safety
  • Bonus: Experience operating zoom boom, skid steer, forklift, or overhead crane
  • Must be legally eligible to work in Canada
