OCL Group Inc. seeks experienced and safety-conscious pipefitters for a project in Cochrane, Alberta. This role welcomes Journeyperson and Apprentice Pipefitters committed to high safety standards.

Start Date is September 14, six days of work, 10-12 hours per day. Must have H2S Alive certification, be clean-shaven, and bring your own hard hat to site. Local Calgary area candidates preferred; equal opportunity employer. Transportation to site required.

Qualifications

  • Must hold Journeyperson Pipefitter Certification.
  • Must be a registered apprentice.
  • Valid safety tickets: H2S Alive and CSTS-2020 or WHMIS 2015.

Responsibilities

  • Rigging and hoisting of valves and heavy components using appropriate equipment and procedures
  • Perform bolting, torquing, and flange management as part of valve change-out and installation
  • Join and secure pipe sections according to specifications.
  • Use test equipment to verify system integrity and check for leaks.
  • Ensure tasks comply with safety, quality and procedural standards.
  • Work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment with a strong safety culture.

About the Role

We are currently recruiting for experienced and safety-conscious Journeyperson and Apprentice Pipefitters for a project in Cochrane, Alberta. Preference will be given to local candidates from Calgary and surrounding areas.
Start Date: September 14
This is 6 days of work. 10-12 hours per day


Must have H2S Alive certification. This site requires employees to be clean-shaven. You are responsible for bringing your own hard hat


Job Duties/Responsibilities


  • Rigging and hoisting of valves and heavy components using appropriate equipment and procedures

  • Perform bolting, torquing, and flange management as part of valve change-out and installation

  • Join and secure pipe sections according to specifications.

  • Use test equipment to verify system integrity and check for leaks.

  • Ensure tasks are completed in full compliance with OCL’s and the client’s safety, quality, and procedural standards.

  • Work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment while maintaining a strong safety culture.


Experience/Qualifications


  • Journeyperson Pipefitter Certification

  • Must be a registered apprentice

  • Previous rigging experience working in an industrial setting is an asset

  • Must have valid safety tickets: H2S Alive and CSTS-2020 or WHMIS 2015.

  • Confined Space and Entry and an asset

  • Ensure a safe team environment

  • Adhere to all company and worksite safety and quality processes and procedures

  • Strong communication skills

  • Desire to work in a team environment

  • Comfortable working outside in various weather conditional conditions

  • Must be eligible to work in Canada

  • Must have transportation to get to/from site
