Job summary

Compass Group Canada is hiring a Cook in Dugald, Manitoba to prepare and cook meals following corporate standards and safety guidelines. You will assemble mise en place for high-volume service and maintain cleanliness and proper storage of items.

Qualifications

• Proven cooking experience in a restaurant or prep kitchen.
• Food Safety Certification is required.
• Certificate from a recognized cooking school.
• Strong knowledge of cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, pre-cook and/or cook food as directed.
• Prepare mise en place for high volume production.
• Clean kitchen equipment after use per safety policies.
• Label, date, store and rotate food items properly.
• Communicate with other departments as needed.
• Report maintenance issues or accidents to supervisor immediately.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
