Job summary

E.F. Framing in Cambridge, ON invites applications for a Carpenter who is self-motivated and personable. This permanent, full-time role starts as soon as possible, with 40 hours per week at $27.00 hourly.

The successful candidate will perform carpentry tasks, read blueprints, and ensure builds meet code and safety standards. Experience and reliability are valued; bilingual abilities are not required.

Qualifications

• Fluent in English language.
• Minimum qualification of Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
• 2–3 years of experience in a related industry.
• Organized, flexible, punctual and reliable.

Responsibilities

• Perform repair work and install doors, windows, drywall, cabinets, stairs, and fixtures.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings and sketches to determine specifications.
• Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join wood and other materials.
• Prepare layouts according to building codes using measuring tools.
• Lay subflooring, foundations, walls and roof systems; build to code and safety standards.
• Keep tools and equipment in good working order.
