Square One Forming Ltd. in Cambridge, ON invites applications for a Form Carpenter who is self-motivated with good interpersonal skills.

This permanent, full-time vacancy offers a 40-hour week across Day, Early Morning, and Morning shifts, with immediate start for up to 5 positions. The role involves reading layouts per building codes, measuring and cutting materials, and constructing foundations, walls, and roof systems.

Qualifications

• Fluent English required.
• No specific degree, certificate, or diploma required.
• 2–3 years of related industry experience preferred.
• Candidates should be accurate, client-focused, and reliable.
• Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills are essential.
• Good judgment and ethical values expected.

• Able to work in a noisy construction setting.

Responsibilities

• Prepare layouts per building codes using measuring tools.
• Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join wood, substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials.
• Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems.
• Maintain, repair, and renovate residences and wooden structures in mills, mines, hospitals, and industrial settings.
