Job summary

North West Rubber is seeking a Skid Steer Operator for our Brantford, ON facility. This full-time role supports tire recycling production with hands-on equipment operation and daily performance reporting.

You will operate skid steers and a forklift, unload trailers, perform pre-start checks, troubleshoot equipment, and collaborate with a fast-paced team to keep production flowing while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Skid Steer license with prior skid steer experience.
• Forklift operation experience; certification is an asset.
• Experience in a production/manufacturing facility.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.
• Strong work ethic with a positive attitude; willingness to assist as needed.
• Ability to work with limited supervision and overtime as required.

Responsibilities

• Unload trailers and bunkers.
• Start-up and shut down of machines.
• Complete pre-start checklists and daily production reports.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and make adjustments as required.
• Operate a forklift and skid steer - MUST have skid steer experience.
• Move tires from trailers and bunkers to keep production flowing.
• Fill hoppers with processed rubber.
• Stage materials on the plant floor.
• Ensure continual feed of material to hoppers to keep production going.
• Keep work areas clean and free of debris.
• Other duties as assigned.

Evolve Recycling is Canada's leader in tire recycling turning used tires into usable products such as multi-purpose matting, artificial sports surfaces and other innovative products. This role is full-time permanent Skid Steer Operator at a tire recycling facility in Brantford, ON.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Unload trailers and bunkers
• Start-up and shut down of machines
• Complete pre-start checklists and daily production reports
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and make adjustments as required
• Operate a Forklift and Skid Steer - MUST have skid steer experience

Assist Other Operators When Required

• Move tires from trailers and bunkers to keep production flowing

Requirements

• Skid Steer License with previous experience with skid steers (e.g., snow removal, snow plow operators)
• Previous experience with forklift operation (certification considered an asset)

• Strong work ethic with a positive attitude
• Willingness to assist where needed
• Ability to work with limited supervision
• Flexibility to work overtime as required
