Job summary

North West Rubber is seeking a Mat Maker/Machine operator for our Brantford location at 321 Henry Street, Branford ON. This full-time role operates on a 12-hour rotating continental shift, contributing to the production of molded rubber products with various presses and molding equipment.

The candidate will load and set up stamping presses, monitor temperatures, volumes and pressures, and assist maintenance when needed.

Qualifications

• Experience operating presses, injection molding, or die casting equipment.
• Knowledge of rubber, metal, or plastic molding and casting machines or similar.
• Operating production equipment in a manufacturing environment.
• Extensive forklift operation experience
• Physically able to bend, squat, kneel, or stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Operate equipment used in the production of molded rubber products. Regulate molding temperature, volume, pressure, and time.
• Load, set up, and operate stamping presses to run production and produce quality output.
• Report damaged or malfunctioning equipment to supervisors and or maintenance staff immediately.
• Record machine downtime and assist maintenance personnel during troubleshooting and repair.
• Understand the mixing process well enough to run it (and demonstrate).
• Understand targets and promote their achievement. Ability to document and explain missed targets

Job Type: Full-time, permanent

Schedule: 12 hour Rotating Continental Shift
