Job summary

Canadian Forces Morale and Welfare Services (CFMWS) is seeking a Skate Monitor to provide friendly customer service and on-ice supervision for public skating. You will engage with guests, answer questions about facilities and programs, and help ensure safety and enjoyment on the ice.

This on-site role involves dynamic, independent work with evening and weekend shifts, and requires a high school diploma with CPR and Standard First Aid. Bilingual English/French is an asset.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma AND some years of experience in a related field.
  • Current CPR and Standard First Aid certification.
  • HIGH FIVE: Principles of Healthy Child Development.
  • Experience monitoring group activities.
  • Experience in cash handling.

Responsibilities

  • Provide excellent customer service and on-ice supervision for public skating.
  • Interact with customers, answering inquiries about facilities and programs.
  • Monitor patron safety and fun on the ice.

THE ROLE

The Skate Monitor provides excellent customer service and on-ice supervision for our public skating. This position requires an enjoyment in interacting with customers, answering inquiries about our facilities and programs and being on ice monitoring patron safety and fun.

We are looking for dynamic, independent and motivated individuals to join our team, helping us ensure recreation is all about fun! If you love spending your days at the rink this position is for you.

Qualifications Needed
Education, Certifications and Licences
  • High school diploma AND some years of experience in a related field
  • AND
  • Current CPR and Standard First Aid certification
  • HIGH FIVE: Principles of Healthy Child Development
Experience
  • In monitoring group activities
  • In cash handling

  • Wednesday and Thursday evening shifts available and Weekend afternoon shifts available.
