Job summary

Canadian Forces Morale and Welfare Services (CFMWS) is seeking an Arena Attendant to support safe, quality arena facilities for members of the Canadian Armed Forces community. You will maintain the ice rink, prepare dressing rooms and keep equipment organized and in good working order, contributing to a welcoming environment.

You will greet visitors, manage access, answer inquiries, and patrol the facility to ensure rules are followed and safety is maintained.

Qualifications

• An acceptable combination of education, training, and/or experience.
• Current CPR and basic First Aid qualifications.

THE ROLE

As an Arena Attendant with Canadian Forces Morale and Welfare Services, you will be part of a team proud to provide safe, quality arena facilities to members of the Canadian Armed Forces community. You will take satisfaction seeing them at play and enjoying the facilities.

Daily, you will ensure the ice rink is maintained, dressing rooms are ready and equipment is organized and in proper working order. You will greet visitors, manage access to the facility and answer customer inquiries. You will patrol the facility to ensure rules and regulations are being followed and equipment and facilities are safe for all those that visit.

QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED

Education, Certifications and Licenses

• An acceptable combination of education, training, and/or experience
• Current CPR and basic First Aid qualifications

Experience

• In ice rink maintenance
• In operating ice rink equipment
• In providing customer service

English Essential / Bilingual (English and French) an asset

This is an on-site position with an assigned work location.

This is a seasonal position with an anticipated term of September – April.
