Job summary

Michael Page International (Canada) is seeking a Site Superintendent to supervise custom home and low-rise residential projects in Ontario. You will manage on-site activities, coordinate with subcontractors, monitor progress, and ensure safety and quality on site.

You should have hands-on experience with Part 9 and Part 3 projects, strong knowledge of construction methods and safety standards, and excellent communication to resolve on-site challenges.

Responsibilities

• Supervise all on-site construction activities to ensure projects are completed efficiently and safely.
• Coordinate and communicate with subcontractors to ensure work aligns with project timelines and specifications.
• Monitor project progress and address any issues or delays promptly to maintain schedules.
• Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols and regulations on the construction site.
• Conduct regular site inspections to maintain quality control and address any discrepancies.
• Manage on-site logistics, including materials, equipment, and labour allocation.
• Collaborate with the project management team to provide updates and resolve challenges effectively.
• Maintain accurate project documentation, including daily reports and records of site activities.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Site Superintendent should have:

• Experience managing custom home and low-rise residential construction projects from start to finish.
• Hands-on experience with both Part 9 and Part 3 projects (essential).
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and safety standards.
• Proven ability to lead and manage subcontractors and on-site teams effectively.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills to resolve on-site challenges.
• Familiarity with construction documentation and project management tools.
