Michael Page is seeking a Site Superintendent for an Ottawa ICI contractor. The role focuses on quality, schedule, and leadership across projects valued CAD 5–20 million, including new builds and renovations. You will coordinate trades, maintain daily progress, and ensure compliance with plans, specs, and codes.

A strong network with local trades and security clearance are preferred. This role is based on-site in Ottawa with growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years ICI construction experience.
• Experience on both new builds and renovations/fit-outs.
• Experience leading projects valued between CAD 5–20 million.
• Strong relationships with local trades.
• Ability to manage on-site teams and multiple sites.
• Security clearance or ability to obtain clearance preferred.

An ICI focused, Ottawa based, Mid-sized General Contractor is looking for their newest Site Superintendent due to continued growth.

Our client is a mid-sized Ottawa based General Contractor with an excellent reputation within the ICI construction space.

Their project specialities include - Federal, Institutional, (schools and hospitals) as well as light industrial and wood framed mid-rise.

Description

Responsibilities

• Ensuring optimal quality on the job site.
• In collaboration with the project management team, will develop, maintain, and drive the construction schedule to ensure construction project milestones and completion dates are met.
• Manage, schedule, and supervise sub-trades and field employees to ensure work is planned and performed efficiently while providing excellent service and a top notch finished product.
• Demonstrate leadership and ensure that projects are built according to approved construction plans, specifications, design drawings, and applicable codes, and that high-quality standards are maintained.
• Maintain a thorough daily report that accurately tracks site progress, events, inspections, and other relevant information.
• Potentially supervise multiple projects at one time.

Profile

• Minimum of 5+ Years ICI focused Construction experience
• Experience working on both New build and Renovations/fit-outs
• Experience leading project sites valued between $5 Million - $20 Million required
• Strong relationships with local trades
• Ability to manage teams on site and potentially manage multiple sites at any one time.
• Security clearance, or the ability to secure security clearance is preferred.

Job Offer

A basic salary of up to $125,000 (dependent upon experience).
