Responsibilities

• Coordinate and supervise subcontractors and trades throughout all stages of construction.
• Maintain project schedules and ensure work progresses according to established timelines.
• Coordinate site logistics, deliveries, access and sequencing of trades.
• Review drawings and specifications and ensure construction is completed in accordance with project requirements.
• Identify and resolve site issues in coordination with the Project Manager, consultants and trades.
• Monitor workmanship and maintain project quality standards.
• Conduct regular site inspections and ensure deficiencies are addressed promptly.
• Maintain a safe, organized and professional job site.
• Ensure compliance with applicable health and safety requirements.
• Participate in site meetings and provide regular updates on project progress.
• Coordinate inspections, deficiencies, turnover and project closeout.
• Maintain positive working relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors and project stakeholders.

Site Superintendent – Commercial Interiors

The Opportunity

Our client, an established General Contractor operating throughout the Greater Toronto Area, is seeking an experienced Site Superintendent to join their team.

This position is focused specifically on commercial interior construction and renovation projects, with a considerable portion of the company’s work located in downtown Toronto.

The successful candidate will bring a minimum of five years of hands-on commercial interiors experience and be comfortable taking responsibility for the day-to-day management of active construction sites, coordinating trades, maintaining schedules and ensuring projects are completed safely and to a high standard.

Please note: this is an interiors-focused position. Candidates whose experience is primarily ground-up construction without significant commercial interiors experience will not be considered.

Compensation

Up to $100,000 annually, depending on experience.
