Job summary

Parker Huggett, a well-established Canadian builder, is expanding into Ontario and seeks a Site Superintendent to lead a commercial/ICI project from excavation to occupancy. The role covers the GTA and broader Ontario, with travel across the province required.

You will own a single project at a time and coordinate with the PM and senior leadership. We value hands-on leadership, strong safety culture, and durable relationships with Ontario trades.

Job description

Our client is a well-established Canadian builder that is now expanding into Ontario. They have delivered schools, offices, retail centres, mixed-use developments, and commercial and light industrial buildings in Canada and the U.S.

Our client has the resources and stability of a large general contractor, with the hands-on attention of a smaller firm. They put transparency, safety, and their people first.

To lead the Ontario expansion, they have hired an executive team from a major general contractor that has grown rapidly in Ontario. These leaders have built a successful Ontario operation before, and they are doing it again here. They bring client relationships, a trade network, and a pipeline to support steady, long-term growth.

As a site superintendent, you will own one project at a time, from excavation to occupancy, on commercial, institutional, and light industrial builds. Projects will be across Ontario, so you'll need to be open to travelling throughout the province.

Duties include but are not limited to:

• Single-project ownership, start to finish, on commercial, institutional, or light industrial builds in the GTA and surrounding Ontario markets
• Input on the trades during buyout, because you're the one who has to run them
• Day-to-day authority on schedule, sequencing, and site safety, under a safety program the firm treats as an operating standard rather than a binder
• A direct line to the PM and to senior leadership when it matters

About You

The successful candidate will have the following:

• Experience taking ICI projects in Ontario from excavation to occupancy
• Hands-on experience as a site superintendent, with the full responsibility that comes with the title
• Strong, lasting relationships with Ontario trades
• A strong commitment to site safety
• Good tenure in previous roles, with a portfolio of full-cycle projects in the ICI sector
• Willingness to travel across Ontario for project assignments
