Job summary

Drake International Inc. in Edmonton, Alberta is seeking a Site Superintendent to lead field operations on commercial and institutional projects.

You will drive safety, quality, schedule, and budget adherence while coordinating diverse trades and materials through mobilization to closeout. Ideal candidates bring 10+ years as a Superintendent with a General Contractor, experience with projects from $10M to $50M, and a Journeyperson certification.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience as a Superintendent with a General Contractor.
• Proven experience leading projects valued between $10 million and $50 million.
• Experience supervising and mentoring Assistant Superintendents and field personnel.
• Strong understanding of scheduling, budgeting, quality control, safety management, and complex site logistics.
• Healthcare or hospital construction experience is highly preferred.
• Journeyperson Trade Certification or equivalent field construction experience.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Lead all site operations from mobilization through project closeout, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
• Manage project schedules, site logistics, staffing plans, subcontractor coordination, and material procurement to maintain project milestones and productivity targets.
• Provide leadership, mentorship, and oversight to Assistant Superintendents, field staff, and trade partners while fostering a culture of accountability and collaboration.
• Identify and mitigate project risks, remove operational roadblocks, and proactively resolve site challenges to keep projects progressing successfully.
• Serve as the primary site representative for clients, consultants, and project stakeholders while maintaining clear communication and strong working relationships.

• Experience supervising and mentoring Assistant Superintendents and field personnel.
• Strong understanding of construction scheduling, budgeting, quality control, safety management, and complex site logistics.
• Healthcare or hospital construction experience is highly preferred.
• Journeyperson Trade Certification or equivalent field construction experience.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
