Job summary

Intelcom is offering an internship where you will gain hands-on experience in infrastructure, automation, and system reliability. You’ll work with cloud platforms, DevOps tools, and monitoring platforms while contributing to real projects across Canada.

Join a fast-moving, innovation-driven team, collaborate with developers and operators, and build dashboards and automation scripts that improve reliability and efficiency.

Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in software engineering, computer science, or a related field.
  • Interest in infrastructure, automation, and system reliability.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) is an asset.
  • Understanding of DevOps concepts and tools (Terraform, observability platforms).
  • Experience with scripting (Python, Bash, or similar) is a plus.
  • Strong initiative, curiosity, and willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in detecting and responding to system issues and help document incident reports and post-mortems.
  • Support application deployment and stability by collaborating with development and operations teams.
  • Contribute to automating routine tasks and writing scripts/tools to improve efficiency and system reliability.
  • Help implement and improve monitoring systems (e.g., Datadog) and build dashboards to visualize system health.
  • Learn about disaster recovery planning and performance optimization and support documentation efforts.
  • Participate in system design discussions, capacity planning, and team brainstorming sessions.
  • Explore new technologies, share ideas, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
  • The role involves daily (or regular) communication with pan-Canadian stakeholders.
