The Opportunity

This is not your average role. We’re inviting you to be part of one of the most exciting, high-end tenant improvement projects in Vancouver — a project that will stand out on your resume and open doors for future growth.

As a Site Foreman, you’ll play a key role in supporting our site team, working closely with the Site Superintendent to ensure the project runs smoothly. This position is unique in that it offers a Tuesday–Saturday shift, including responsibility for managing trades on Saturdays. You’ll join a collaborative team environment while stepping into a project that is truly a career builder.

Job Duties + Responsibilities:

  • Project Support: Assist on a landmark Tenant Improvement project in Vancouver, Tuesday–Saturday schedule.
  • Site Operations: Support the Site Superintendent to keep site activities running efficiently.
  • Carpentry & Hands-On Work: Perform tasks such as hoarding, formwork, backing, and handyman carpentry.
  • Deficiency Management: Handle wrap-up tasks at project close.
  • Site Maintenance: Keep the site safe, clean, and organized for trade partners.
  • Scheduling Support: Expedite timelines through efficient, high-quality work.
  • Safety Leadership: Complete hazard assessments, inspections, orientations, and ensure compliance with Novacom’s COR safety program.

Qualifications:

We're looking for these qualifications:

  • Experience: 3–5+ years in the construction industry.
  • Training: Carpentry trade qualification or ticket (apprentices at any level welcome).
  • Knowledge: Strong understanding of construction processes, sequencing, tools, and trade management.
  • Trade Management: Some experience coordinating or overseeing trades on-site, with the ability to support scheduling, quality, and safety.
  • Independence: Ability to work effectively without close supervision.
  • Communication: Strong problem-solving and collaboration skills with supervisors, team members, and subcontractors.
  • Teamwork: Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with construction personnel and trade partners.
  • Mobility: Must have independent transportation and flexibility to travel to various sites.
