Job summary

L. Fournier & Fils invites a Site Engineer / Site Coordinator to join our field team in Thunder Bay, Ontario.

Under the supervision of the Project Manager, you will contribute to planning, coordination, and monitoring of site activities and ensure accurate daily and weekly reporting. You will manage read drawings and specs, track extras, support RFIs and change requests, and help develop three-week look-ahead schedules.

Qualifications

• Relevant education or experience in construction project management, civil engineering, or mining engineering.
• Good command of computer tools, including Excel and MS Project.
• Ability to read and interpret plans, drawings and specifications.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Participate actively in site coordination meetings.
• Compile the technical data required to produce daily and weekly reports.
• Track extras and additional work.
• Provide technical follow-up on projects, including RFIs, technical change requests, drawing updates and submittal approvals.
• Participate in developing project schedules, including three-week look-ahead and overall schedules.
• Ensure effective coordination between all parties on site, including subcontractors, the client and internal teams.
