Job description

Reporting to the Silviculture Superintendent, the Silviculture Coordinator will work with a team of professionals responsible for all reforestation activities.

Responsibilities
  • Responsible for all aspects of reforestation, including developing plans and prescriptions, contract administration, contractor supervision, data collection, reporting, and budget preparation.
  • Program coordination with other members of the Silviculture team and the Planning and Operations Departments.
  • Monitoring contractor compliance with safe operating procedures, SFI certifications, and health and safety programs.
Qualifications
  • Forestry, natural resources, or relevant degree or diploma.
  • Registered Professional Forester (RPF) or Registered Forest Technologist (RFT) Designation with the Forest Professionals of British Columbia (FPBC), or eligibility for registration.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, proven organizational skills, and a willingness to learn and undertake new challenges.
  • 2-4 years of relevant silviculture experience.
  • Proficiency with Silviculture software, including CENGEA (LRM), ArcMap, SNAP, RESULTS, MS Office, iPads, Drones, and GPS considered an asset.
