Job summary

Conifex Timber Inc. is seeking a Silviculture Superintendent to oversee the silviculture program in Mackenzie, British Columbia. The ideal candidate will have a University Degree or Technical Diploma in Forestry, at least 7 years of forestry experience, and strong leadership skills. Job description

As a Silviculture Superintendent, you will be responsible for the planning, implementation, and monitoring of Conifex's full silviculture program. This is a leadership role suited to an experienced professional who can manage contractors, mentor a team of supervisors, and ensure safe, compliant, and cost-effective delivery of all reforestation and stand management activities. Working closely with our Planning and Harvesting teams, you will help ensure long‑term forest management objectives are met while upholding Conifex's commitment to safety, environmental stewardship, and sustainable forest management.

Qualifications

• Education: A University Degree or Technical Diploma in Forestry or Natural Resource Management (RPF or RFT designation preferred).
• Experience: At least 7 years of experience in forestry, including experience supervising Silviculture operations.

Skills

• Excellent leadership and communication skills
• Strong project management capabilities
• In-depth knowledge of BC forestry legislation, FRPA, and silviculture policies
• Proficiency in silviculture software (e.g., RESULTS, LRM, Plant Wizard, SNAP)
• Strong work ethic and a love for the outdoors

• Familiarity with BC forestry legislation, SFI certification requirements, and best practices in sustainable forest management.
