Job summary

Primoris Canada is seeking a Side Boom Operator to move and set pipe on outdoor job sites. The role is physically demanding, outdoors, and starts anticipated October 22, 2026.

Location is Canada with travel from Edmonton/Calgary; camp lodging is available and flights are provided to support work across sites. The position requires a valid operator’s card, 5+ years of side boom/equipment experience, CSO clearance, and the ability to lift 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid operator’s card.
• Minimum 5 years of industrial equipment operation.
• CSO clearance is required.
• Must be physically able to lift 50 lb.
• Team player, organized and self-motivated.
• Pre-employment drug and alcohol testing required.

Responsibilities

• Comply with Company and Client Safety rules, as well as OH&S standards.
• Operate side boom (and various other equipment as required) in a safe and effective manner.
• Move materials/equipment, snow, and dirt.
• Load/unload materials.
• Complete pre-job equipment inspections.
• Attend required safety and tailgate/toolbox meetings.
• May perform other duties as assigned.

Job Overview: COMPANY PROFILE Primoris Canada is an infrastructure contractor serving major firms in the oil, gas, power, petrochemical, and heavy oil industries and include services covering tailings and hydro-transport pipeline construction and maintenance, storage tank construction and maintenance, industrial facilities multi-discipline construction and maintenance, piping fabrication, and pipeline integrity services. SUMMARY The Side Boom Operator is involved in the operation of a side boom to move and set pipe. This work exists primarily outdoors and may be physically demanding. Anticipated Start Date: October 22, 2026 Location: CNRL Horizon Sustaining Shift: 14/7 Travel: Flights provided from Edmonton and Calgary Accommodation: Camp available Hourly Rate: $50.05
