Job summary

Ledcor is seeking an experienced Sideboom Operator for a long-term assignment on a major industrial project in Fort Hills, AB. You will operate multiple sideboom models safely, follow lift plans, and coordinate with teammates to move pipe sections.

Camp accommodations provided, 14 days on/off, 12-hour days, health benefits through CLAC, and charter flights from Edmonton/Calgary. Ideal candidates have 3+ years of sideboom operation and a strong safety record.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years’ experience operating sidebooms.
• Interpret capacity charts and identify rigging requirements.
• Understand boom length, cable length, load limits and relationships.
• Strong commitment to workplace safety.
• Must pass pre-access drug and alcohol testing.

Responsibilities

• Operate 583, 594, 587 and JD 1050 models safely and efficiently per lift plan and site procedures.
• Lift, move, align, and lower pipe sections according to project requirements.
• Work with other operators to carry pipe sections safely.
• Maintain equipment positioning and stability on uneven terrain.
• Perform pre-use inspections and report maintenance or safety concerns.
• Adhere to Ledcor, client, and regulatory health, safety, and environmental requirements.
