Primoris Canada is seeking a welder for field and shop work at the CNRL Horizon site. The role involves joining pipe, beams, vessels, and other metal components indoors or outdoors, with potential for physically demanding work and travel for site assignments in Canada.

Qualifications

• Must be a registered journeyman or hold an apprenticeship recognized by AIT.
• Alberta B-Pressure Certificate required.
• Current CWB SMAW CSO F3/F3 downhill SMAW required.
• F4 uphill SMAW experience preferred.
• SMAW F6/F6 down/up Stainless and GMAW/FCAW experience advantageous.

Responsabilités

Job Overview

COMPANY PROFILE Primoris Canada is an infrastructure contractor serving major firms in the oil, gas, power, petrochemical, and heavy oil industries and include services covering tailings and hydro-transport pipeline construction and maintenance, storage tank construction and maintenance, industrial facilities multi-discipline construction and maintenance, piping fabrication, and pipeline integrity services.

• Location: CNRL Horizon
• Shift: 7/7 or 14/14
• Travel: Flights provided from Edmonton and Calgary
• Accommodation: Camp available
• Hourly Rate: $129.17

SUMMARY

The Welder is involved in the joining of pipe, steel, beams, vessels, and other metal components. This work may exist indoors or outdoors and may be physically demanding.

JOB DUTIES

• Comply with Company and Client Safety rules, as well as OH&S standards
• Read and interpret blue prints to determine requirements of the job
• Join or sever metals in beams, vessels, piping, and other metal components
• Utilize different processes and fillers depending on the Client requirements
• Clean and check weld for defects
• Attend required safety and tailgate/toolbox meetings
• May perform other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

• Must be a registered ticketed journeyman (or hold an apprenticeship or journeyman certificate recognized by AIT)
• Alberta B-Pressure Certificate
• Current CWB SMAW CSO F3/F3 downhill SMAW
• F4 uphill SMAW
• SMAW F6/F6 down/up Stainless GMAW/FCAW F5 Uphill Stainless SMAW
• Able to work well in a team environment
• Must be physically able to lift 50lbs and climb in/under units in the field
• Organized and self-motivated
• Pre-employment alcohol and drug testing is a condition of employment.
