Job summary

OMERS / Oxford Properties Group is seeking a Manager of Security and Emergency Services for Square One Shopping Centre. Responsible for security operations, life safety, budgeting, and stakeholder coordination to safeguard the property and support a safe, welcoming environment.

The role requires leading a security team, managing contracts, and coordinating with police, fire, and EMS. Strong experience in risk management and emergency planning is essential.

Qualifications

• 10 years of security experience.
• 5 years of supervisory or people leadership experience.
• Valid Security Licence.
• Current First Aid and CPR certification.
• Health and Safety training or certifications.
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
• Proven success in team building and team culture.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day security operations for the shopping centre.
• Manage the Assistant Security Manager and the third-party security contractor.
• Maintain relationships with Peel Regional Police, Emergency Services, and City personnel.
• Lead emergency planning, drills and incident response activities.
• Manage security budgets, contracts and capital projects on budget and timetables.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and security policies and procedures.
