Job summary

Jim Pattison Developments Ltd. is seeking an Operations Manager for the Cherry Lane Shopping Centre in the South Okanagan. You will lead an onsite maintenance team, coordinate HVAC, security and other building services, and ensure tenants receive exceptional service.

Ideal candidates have retail operations experience, a solid grasp of building systems, and the ability to balance priorities, make informed decisions, and stay on-call for emergencies. A BC driver’s license is required.

Qualifications

• Experience in operations, maintenance or facilities management, preferably in retail.
• Strong understanding of commercial building systems including HVAC and life safety.
• Ability to oversee contractors, coordinate vendors and make operational decisions.
• On-call for emergencies and valid Class 5 BC Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations of Cherry Lane Shopping Centre (~300,000 sq ft, ~50 tenants).
• Lead onsite maintenance team and coordinate contractors for HVAC, landscaping, security, housekeeping.
• Ensure vendors meet contractual obligations and support life-safety programs.
• Maintain strong tenant relationships and support capital projects.
