Job summary

Reko Automation is seeking a Shipping/Receiving team member to ensure smooth goods flow. You will handle shipments, maintain inventory records, and coordinate with multiple departments to support operations.

Reporting to the Manufacturing Supervisor, you will verify documents, organize material flow, and use the ERP system daily. The role requires physical ability, strong communication, and reliability in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

  • Four to five years of experience in shipping and receiving, preferably in a machine shop or manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in working steady afternoon shifts to accommodate operational needs.
  • High school diploma or equivalent (e.g., Grade 12 O.S.S.D.).
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, along with basic computer literacy.
  • Ability to establish and maintain positive relationships with internal teams, cross- functional departments, and external suppliers.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to stay focused in a fast-paced environment.
  • Working knowledge and background in material handling practices.
  • Familiarity with basic hand tools and their utilization in shipping/receiving tasks.
  • Physical ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 40 pounds.
  • Willingness and ability to obtain certification for operating lift trucks and overhead cranes as required by the job.
  • Drivers abstract must be provided as deliveries and pick ups are a required task in this role

Responsibilities

  • Receive incoming shipments and verify their accuracy against packing slips and purchase orders.
  • Determine and coordinate the next steps for items requiring further processing.
  • Organize and stage items for job numbers and assemblies.
  • Utilize ERP system and tracking documents to search and enter information.
  • Notify personnel of discrepancies or damages and collaborate with the Supervisors to resolve issues.
  • Distribute incoming materials to respective departments or individuals.
  • Track inventory levels and initiate restocking of automation supplies.
  • Load and unload materials from trucks and ensure safe storage.
  • Prepare subcontracted goods for shipping back to suppliers.
  • Coordinate with Purchasing and Project Management on disposition of leftovers.
  • Follow safety protocols and maintain an organized work area.
  • Perform other duties to support shipping and receiving operations.
