Job summary

Quantum Lifecycle Partners LP in Surrey is seeking a Shipper/Receiver to handle outgoing and incoming materials, ensuring accuracy and timely handling per SOW. The role involves loading, staging, unloading, and documenting shipments with a focus on safety and efficiency.

The position requires forklift and reach truck certifications, along with TDG and propane credentials where applicable. Strong attention to detail and physical capability to lift up to 40 lbs are essential.

Qualifications

  • 1-3 years of experience in shipping or receiving in an industrial setting.
  • 3-5 years of experience in shipping or receiving in an industrial setting is preferred.
  • Demonstrated comprehension of English & basic math
  • Knowledge of shipping and customs procedures
  • Knowledge of ELP & inventory management
  • Job specific training and identification and classification of materials
  • Valid Forklift and Reach truck certification.
  • Valid Propane Certification and Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) Certificate of training is preferred
  • Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure
  • Physically able to lift up to 20lb regularly and up to 40 lbs periodically

Responsibilities

  • Locate, weigh-out, stage, and load outgoing items as directed by the Supervisor.
  • Check materials to be shipped against work orders to ensure quantities, destinations, routings are correct.
  • Perform physical cycle counts of materials to be shipped.
  • Prepare and select appropriate shipping container for material shipments and pack materials to ensure safe delivery
  • Unload various materials or containers from trailer and move these items to designated areas
  • Receive incoming material shipments in accordance with company procedures including primary incoming shipment inspection, documentation, and material control.
  • Inspect shipments for damages or defects; record discrepancies or damaged and notify supervisor.
  • Complete Receiving/Express lot according to project/lot number.
  • Register and discover material in accordance with company policy and procedures
  • Unboxing and sorting equipment.
  • Track inventory and perform cycle counts.
  • Operate cardboard baler, pallet wrapper, hard drive shredder, electric forklift, and reach truck after completing required training.

Job Summary – Operations

The Shipper/Receiver locates, moves, stages, and loads outgoing material and unloads and moves incoming material to designated areas according to the client’s SOW requirement, registration, and company procedure.

Your Qualifications & Abilities:


  • 1-3 years of experience in shipping or receiving in an industrial setting.

  • 3-5 years of experience in shipping or receiving in an industrial setting is preferred.

  • Basic computer skills

  • Knowledge of ELP & inventory management

  • Knowledge of shipping and customs procedures

  • Job specific training and identification and classification of materials

  • Valid Forklift and Reach truck certification.

  • Valid Propane Certification and Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) Certificate of training is preferred

  • Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure

  • Physically able to lift up to 20lb regularly and up to 40 lbs periodically

  • Able to push and pull at various heights and able to stand/walk for long periods of time

  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively

  • Flexible, fast learner with the ability to multitask
