Job summary

Advantage Personnel in Brampton, ON is seeking a Shipping / Order Picker to support daily warehouse operations. You will operate an order picker, verify quantities, package and stage orders for dispatch, and help maintain a safe, organized work environment.

The role runs Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. (or 2:00 p.m. - 11:00 p.m.). The wage is $22.50 per hour, with emphasis on accuracy, safety, and productivity. Previous warehouse experience and RF scanner proficiency are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2-3 years of warehouse or general labour experience preferred.
• Valid certification to operate an order picker and related equipment.

Responsibilities

• Complete orders for shipment by picking, packaging, labelling, and preparing products.
• Check items for damage, defects, or quantity discrepancies and report concerns.
• Keep warehouse areas organized and hazard-free while optimizing space.
• Coordinate tasks with team members and supervisors for efficient workflow.
• Conduct routine equipment safety checks and operate warehouse machines safely.
• Follow procedures and safety standards to ensure accurate service.
• Assist with additional warehouse duties as needed.

Great opportunity exists for a Shipping /Order Picker. In the role, you will operate an order picker to retrieve products, verify quantities, and stage orders for shipment. A strong focus on safety, accuracy, and productivity is essential to supporting daily warehouse and shipping operations.

Job Duties:

• Complete orders for shipment or customer collection by picking, packaging, securing, labelling, and preparing products for dispatch within required timelines.
• Check items for damage, defects, or quantity discrepancies and bring any concerns to the Supervisor's attention.
• Keep warehouse areas organized and hazard-free while making efficient use of available storage space.
• Work closely with team members and supervisors to coordinate tasks and maintain an efficient workflow.
• Conduct routine equipment safety checks and safely operate warehouse machinery, including order pickers.
• Follow established operating procedures, workplace safety requirements, and quality standards to support accurate and reliable service.
• Assist with additional warehouse duties as needed to support daily operations.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2-3 years of warehouse or general labour experience preferred.
• Valid certification to operate an order picker, stand-up dock stocker, and/or Pacer.
• Experience operating Reach and Swing Reach equipment is an asset.
• Proficient in using RF scanners for inventory tracking and order picking.
• Strong attention to detail, particularly when verifying part numbers, product codes, and order quantities.
• Commitment to workplace safety, accuracy, and maintaining productivity in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
