Job summary

Westport is seeking a Production & Logistics Associate to join our team on a six-month contract. You will assist with assembly activities, shipping and receiving processes, material handling, inventory movement, and general operational support.

The role requires a hands-on, safety-conscious individual who enjoys physical work, pays close attention to detail, and thrives in a team-oriented environment. Overtime and weekend shifts may be required.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform physical work, including lifting, standing, bending, and repetitive tasks for extended periods.
• Basic reading and comprehension skills to understand work instructions, shipping documents, and safety procedures.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow processes accurately.
• Willingness to work flexible schedules, including overtime and weekends as required.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assemble products and components according to work instructions and quality standards.
• Prepare, package, and stage finished goods for shipment.
• Receive incoming materials and verify shipments against packing slips and purchase orders.
• Load, unload, move, and organize materials, supplies, and finished products throughout the facility.
• Support inventory control activities, including stock organization and cycle counts.
• Maintain accurate records of shipments, receipts, and inventory transactions as required.
• Operate manufacturing equipment, tools, and material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Assist team members across production, warehouse, and logistics functions as needed.
• Report equipment issues, inventory discrepancies, or safety concerns promptly.
• Follow all company policies, procedures, quality requirements, and safety standards.
