University of Toronto Press in Canada is seeking a Shipping and Receiving Manager to oversee the efficient operations of the U of T Bookstore shipping and receiving team at the St George Campus. You will supervise unionized staff, manage budgeting, and negotiate carrier and customs terms to optimize delivery of goods.
The role requires coordinating with multiple departments, optimizing inventory, and ensuring timely order fulfillment while adhering to policies and procedures.
In close collaboration with the store teams, you’ll be responsible for the efficient, cost-effective operation of all shipping and receiving functions for the University of Toronto Bookstores. This includes supervision of unionized employees, planning and budgeting responsibilities, department related purchasing, carrier and custom broker negotiations and collaboration, other customs/traffic related duties, managing some warehousing space, and fostering strong teamwork.
Salary Range: $50,000 - $55,000

Normal business hours are 7.25 hours per day, 36.25 hours per week. A certain amount of overtime will be required from time to time, especially during peak periods. Occasional weekend and evening work.
