Job summary

Hercules Crane & Lifting Supplies in Edmonton, AB is seeking a full-time Shipper/Receiver to coordinate daily warehouse activities, manage inventory and equipment, and ensure efficient processing of customer sales orders and branch transfers.

The role reports to the Production Supervisor and involves coordinating shipping/receiving, preparing shipments, and supporting both the front counter and production teams as needed. Strong organizational and teamwork skills are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is asset.
• Previous warehouse experience is required.
• Previous customer service experience an asset.
• Computer skills and ability to use systems for shipping and receiving.
• Previous training in forklift operation considered an asset.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to safely lift 50 lbs. from floor level to waist level.
• Legally entitled to work in Canada.

Responsibilities

• Prioritizes daily workflow based on required by dates on orders.
• Ensures cycle count activities are completed.
• Communicates with Branch Manager on training, supplies or maintenance needs.
• Oversees all shipping and receiving activities.
• Prepares, packages and schedules outgoing shipments with transport companies.
• Unloads and sorts incoming shipments and inter-branch transfers.
• Ensures all paperwork for orders is complete.
• Provides customer service by tracking shipments as required.
• Supports Front Counter Retail Sales when needed and serves entering customers.
• Supports Production Team when necessary.
• Conducts QA checks on outgoing orders.
• Motivates employees and maintains a positive environment.

We are looking for a full time Shipper/Receiver for our Hercules branch in our Edmonton, AB location. Reporting to the Production Supervisor, this role is responsible for the day-to-day coordination of the warehouse, ensuring organization of the area, inventory and equipment and ensuring the efficient and effective execution of customer sales orders, branch transfers and departmental picking.
