Job summary

Randstad Canada is hiring a shipper/receiver in Calgary's southeast to join a global manufacturer of welding products. Day shift, steady hours, and a path to long-term permanent employment are offered.

The role involves reporting to the Warehouse Supervisor, picking orders, coordinating shipments to Calgary and Cleveland, operating forklifts and wrapping equipment, and ensuring finished goods are shipped accurately and safely. Benefits include medical, dental, and RRSP options.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 12 months experience as a shipper/receiver in a DC/Warehouse.
  • Must hold a valid tow motor license including Counterbalance tow motors.
  • Must hold a valid forklift license including Counterbalance license.
  • Legal authorization to work in Canada (citizenship, permanent residency, or valid work permit).

Responsibilities

  • Report to the Warehouse Supervisor on shipment and delivery matters.
  • Liaise with management and staff on shipment of customer orders and finished products.
  • Manually pick orders and prepare them for shipment.
  • Check finished products for damage and report findings.
  • Operate forklifts and shrink-wrap machine; ensure vehicles have adequate fluids.
  • Operate wrapping machine.

We are hiring a shipper/receiver role for a reputable global manufacturer of welding products, arc welding equipment, welding consumables, plasma and oxy-fuel cutting equipment and robotic welding system. SHIFT SCHEDULE

Day Shift, Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM

PAY RATE

$20.98/hour

Responsibilities
  • To report directly to the Warehouse Supervisor on an ongoing basis and communicate all relevant matters pertaining to the shipment and delivery of finished goods for customers as well as arranging the shipment of the finished product to company warehouse facilities in Calgary, Alberta, and Cleveland, Ohio (Toronto DC Team).
  • To liaise and collaborate with Management, Line and Non-Management staff at all levels in an advisory capacity on matters pertaining to shipment of customer orders and finished products.
  • To manually pick orders from the warehouse according to purchase order requirements and prepare orders for shipment.
  • To check finished product shipped to Toronto and/or Calgary from Cleveland/Toronto for damage and report damage accordingly.
  • To operate and maintain forklifts and the company shrink-wrap machine ensuring that vehicles are serviced with sufficient oil and water levels.
  • To operate wrapping machine.
