STRIVE Calgary is seeking a reliable Shipper/Receiver to join the Calgary, AB branch. This hands-on role thrives in a fast-paced warehouse and yard, delivering excellent service to internal and external customers while maintaining safety and accuracy.

The temporary position runs for several months with potential extension based on business needs. Shift is Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM; training is provided and you’ll handle loading/unloading, inventory, and yard upkeep in varying weather.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years in warehouse shipping/receiving.
• Forklift certification required before interview.
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs.
• Comfort outdoors/in varying weather.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Receive, unload, and stock incoming products and materials.
• Pick, pull, and prepare customer orders accurately and efficiently.
• Load and unload trucks and shipments safely and securely.
• Operate forklift equipment to move materials throughout the warehouse and yard.
• Handle pipe, fittings, and other larger or awkward materials safely.
• Complete shipping, receiving, inventory, and system documentation.
• Maintain inventory accuracy and organization.
• Assist customers in the warehouse and yard as needed.
• Assist with yard maintenance, housekeeping, and warehouse cleanliness; support branch operations.
• Follow all company health and safety procedures and policies.
• Provide excellent service and support to customers and coworkers.
• Work safely in varying outdoor weather conditions, including rain, heat, and cold.

THE ROLE:

Our client is a leading distributor of waterworks, infrastructure, mining, and industrial products across Canada and the United States. They are currently seeking a motivated and reliable Shipper/Receiver to join their Calgary, AB branch. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work, thrives in a warehouse and yard environment, and takes pride in delivering excellent service to both internal and external customers. The Calgary branch is currently looking for additional warehouse support and requires someone who is comfortable working in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment. This is a temporary opportunity in Calgary, AB, expected to run for a few months at minimum and potentially through the end of 2026, based on business needs.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Minimum 1-2 years of warehouse, shipping/receiving, or material handling experience
• Valid forklift certification required prior to interview
• Experience operating forklift equipment; Counterbalance and Reach Truck experience
• Experience handling larger, awkward, or heavy materials is an asset
• Strong work ethic and willingness to perform physically demanding work
• Comfortable lifting up to 55 lbs on a regular basis
• Comfortable working both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
• Basic computer skills and willingness to learn inventory systems
• Excellent attendance and punctuality
• Positive attitude and team-first mentality
• Strong communication and customer service skills
