Job summary

A leading marine services company in Calgary is seeking a motivated Shipper/Receiver to handle material logistics and ensure quality management in shipping and receiving processes. This full-time role offers competitive pay ranging from CA$20 to CA$25 hourly, depending on experience. Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma, strong organizational and communication skills, and the ability to lift heavy items. Essential Functions

• Receive purchased products and verify against purchase order requirements.
• Receive customer‑supplied products and verify against customer requirements.
• Load and unload trucks using forklifts and other lifting equipment, directly and through delegation.
• Generate packing slips, calculate weights, determine dimensions.
• Ensure shipments are packaged according to customer requirements.
• Identify incoming material with work order number and customer name as applicable.
• Organize and direct movement of traffic and materials in the yard.
• Maintain cleanliness in the yard.
• Communicate with office and shop staff via radio.
• Work in accordance with the quality management system.
• Complete all applicable quality records.
• Work in accordance with documented procedures and complete all applicable records.

Qualifications

• Superior organization skills to keep stock locations organized.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Team player attitude and willingness to support the team and department when needed.
• High school education or GED equivalent.
• Computer skills an asset.
• Forklift certification an asset.
• Overhead crane experience.
• Knowledgeable of shop procedures.
• Minimum 3‑month experience in material handling.
• Knowledge of quality management system: purchasing, receiving, shipping, inspection and testing, traceability, nonconformances, corrective and preventive action, document control, record control, purchasing.
