Job summary

TRG Staffing Solutions is seeking a dependable Shipper/Receiver in Mississauga to join a small two-person warehouse team. You will handle shipments, read blueprints, operate forklifts, and maintain accurate records as you support heavy industrial equipment preparation.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years in warehouse shipping and receiving operations.
• Experience operating counterbalance forklift.
• Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.
• Proficient with inventory management systems.
• Physically capable of handling up to 100 lbs with lifting equipment.
• Comfort working in a small unionized team.

Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against PO docs.
• Prepare, package, label, and coordinate outgoing shipments.
• Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks and other material-handling equipment.
• Assist with assembling/heavy pumps for shipment.
• Read blueprints to support assembly activities.
• Maintain inventory records and shipping docs using computer systems.
• Perform inventory counts and organize warehouse materials for accuracy.
• Load and unload heavy equipment using appropriate lifting gear.
• Identify and report damaged goods and discrepancies.
• Maintain a clean, safe warehouse environment.
• Work independently and in a small team following safety procedures.

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM

TRG Staffing Solutions is a leading staffing and recruitment agency dedicated to connecting talented individuals with rewarding career opportunities. We are currently seeking an experienced Shipper/Receiver for a permanent opportunity with one of our clients in Mississauga.

This position is ideal for a dependable, hands‑on individual with strong warehouse experience, counterbalance forklift skills, and a positive attitude. The successful candidate will work in a small, two-person warehouse team, reporting directly to the Warehouse Manager.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders, packing slips, and shipping documents.
• Prepare, package, label, and coordinate outgoing shipments accurately and efficiently.
• Safely operate counterbalance forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material‑handling equipment.
• Assist with the assembly and preparation of heavy industrial pumps for shipment.
• Read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints to support assembly activities.
• Maintain accurate inventory records, shipping documentation, and receiving reports using computer systems.
• Perform inventory counts, organize warehouse materials, and maintain stock accuracy.
• Load, unload, and move heavy equipment using appropriate lifting equipment.
• Identify and report damaged goods, shipment discrepancies, and inventory issues.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.
• Work independently and collaboratively within a small team while following established safety procedures.

Qualifications & Requirements

• 3-5 years of experience in warehouse shipping and receiving operations.
• Previous experience operating a counterbalance forklift is required.
• Experience in the mining industry or handling heavy industrial equipment is a strong asset.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Comfortable using computers for inventory management, shipping records, and documentation.
• Experience operating pallet jacks and other warehouse equipment.
• Physically capable of handling heavy materials, occasionally weighing up to 100 lbs, with mechanical lifting equipment available for most heavy lifting tasks.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Positive attitude, reliability, and a willingness to support various warehouse operations.
• Comfortable working in a small, two-person team and within a unionized environment.
• Safety shoes are mandatory.
• Willingness to complete in-house forklift training as required.
