Job summary

Peninsula Co-op is seeking two Shift Supervisors for the Grocery & Front-End team in our Food Centre at Saanichton, BC. This full-time role offers 40 hours per week, with duties spanning daily operations, coaching staff, and ensuring a safe, well-organized store environment.

The ideal candidate is available any day, can manage in a fast-paced setting, and will lead by example while maintaining high customer service standards.

Qualifications

• Availability to work any day of the week, including mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Friendly, helpful, and customer-focused.
• Confident and reliable leader who can support the team.
• Able to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Lead shifts and support daily operations in Grocery & Front-End.
• Coach and support team members to succeed in their roles.
• Respond calmly to emergencies and help maintain a safe environment.
• Address performance and safety concerns with clear communication.
• Assist customers confidently and follow age-restriction rules.
• Stock and merchandise shelves and keep site clean and safe.
• Operate required equipment safely and efficiently.

We are looking for two Shift Supervisors to join our Grocery & Front-End department within our Food Centre located at 2132 Keating XRd, Saanichton BC, BC. This is a full-time position offering 40 hours per week.

• Available to work any day of the week, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Friendly, helpful, and customer-focused
• Confident and a reliable leader who can support the team
• Can make decisions and stay organized in a fast-paced environment
• Proactive and supports daily store operations, including stocking, merchandising, and safety procedures
• Able to stand for long periods and frequently lift up to 50 lbs

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Lead shifts and support daily operations
• Coach and support team members to help them succeed in their roles
• Respond calmly to emergencies and helps maintain a safe environment
• Address performance and safety concerns while communicating clearly with the team
• Confidently assist customers
• Follow all regulations regarding selling age-restricted products
• Stock and merchandise shelves accurately
• Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe site
• Ensure products are well displayed and meet quality standards
• Safely and effectively operate required equipment
• Follow all safety procedures
