Job summary

Hilton is seeking a Shift Mechanic to maintain hotel rooms, public spaces, and back-of-house operations with a focus on safety and guest comfort.

You will perform preventive and unscheduled maintenance, handle service requests, and document repairs. Ideal candidates have experience in electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general maintenance with strong customer service skills.

Qualifications

• Must have basic experience in electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical.
• Graduation from a vocational school with emphasis on building operation or general maintenance.
• Current working knowledge of general maintenance and engineering work.
• Basic computer knowledge and experience with systems.
• A passion for delivering great customer service.
• Ability to work independently and driven to complete tasks.
• Previous maintenance experience in a large hotel, hospital, ship, or complex building an asset.

Responsibilities

• Maintain hotel rooms and keep facilities running smoothly: Perform preventive and non-scheduled maintenance, inspections, and repairs of items ranging from, but not limited to: light bulbs, outlets, faucets, toilets, caulking, grouting, and painting.
• Respond to service requests: Quickly handle guest service calls and assigned tasks to completion. Coordinate with other departments and team members as needed.
• Document maintenance activities: Record completed repairs and report any issues requiring further attention.
