Job description

Interior Health is looking for a Relief Part-Time Shift Coordinator to join the team at the East Kootenay Regional Hospital, located in Cranbrook, BC.

Position end date: June 8, 2025, or until the return of the incumbent.

Shift Type: Days, Nights – 07:15 to 19:15, 19:15 to 07:15 rotating

Days off: Rotating

About The Role

The Shift Coordinator practices in accordance with the standards of professional practice and code of ethics as outlined by the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM), within a patient and family-centered care model.

The Shift Coordinator is responsible for patient placement, bed utilization, and staffing during weekends, evenings, and night shifts. Acts as a clinical resource to staff in resolving issues related to patient care, staffing levels, and bed utilization. The Shift Coordinator is accountable for ensuring excellence in the provision of patient-centered care throughout the hospital during their assigned shift.
