A leading virtual healthcare provider is seeking a Patient Flow Nurse to enhance patient experience through efficient coordination of virtual services. The Patient Flow Nurse (Registered Nurse role) for Virtual Care is responsible for facilitating the seamless and efficient flow of patients through virtual healthcare services. This role involves coordinating and managing scheduling, triaging, and follow-up processes to ensure patients receive timely and high-quality virtual care services. The coordinator will collaborate with healthcare providers, patients, and administrative staff to optimize the virtual care experience and contribute to overall patient satisfaction.
The patient flow coordinator requires strong clinical judgment, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively under pressure to ensure that patients receive appropriate and timely care based on their medical needs.
Minimum qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in nursing or equivalent work experience, current practicing registration and good standing as a Registered Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses & Midwives (BCCNM). Experience in healthcare coordination, scheduling, and administration, along with familiarity with electronic health record systems and telemedicine services, is required. Additional certifications such as CTAS (+5 years’ experience), ACLS, and Telephone Triage Nursing are preferred. The role demands strong organizational, communication, and technical troubleshooting skills, along with empathy and understanding of healthcare regulations. The position requires full flexibility across all shifts, including days, evenings, nights, and weekends, with hours varying according to scheduling needs.
