Virtual Care Registered Nurse

We are looking for experienced and dependable Registered Nurses who are dedicated to providing quality nursing care, mental health, addictions, and crisis intervention to callers. If you are a Registered Nurse seeking a challenge and a company that values you, apply today!

Position Overview

Our Nurses triage patients via telephone using renowned Schmitt-Thompson protocols and provide virtual nursing care advice. Calls vary in subject matter and complexity. Registered Nurses must be attentive and engaged listeners with strong critical thinking and clinical assessment skills, capable of making independent decisions and documenting clinical data clearly.

Our operation runs 24/7/365. You will work within a shift schedule that includes days, evenings, overnights, and holidays, with a weekend rotation every second weekend. The minimum position is 0.6 FTE (48 hours over two weeks), with options up to 1.0 FTE (80 hours over two weeks). No casual positions are available at this time.

Responsibilities

1. Provide telephone triage and advice to assist callers in making timely medical decisions.
2. Offer mental health support, including suicide prevention, addiction, and crisis intervention.
3. Exercise clinical judgment using protocols to determine appropriate patient disposition and care level.
4. Complete confidential medical records following company documentation standards.
5. Communicate clearly and effectively during patient interactions.

Qualifications

1. Graduation from a recognized School of Nursing.
2. At least 2 years of recent triage or clinical experience in ER, mental health/psychiatry, behavioral health, ICU, or acute care.
3. Experience with mental health, addictions, and crisis intervention is a strong asset.
4. Active licensure with CRNNL.
5. Proficiency with Windows-based computer systems and technology.
6. Ability to work in shifts, including days, evenings, nights, and weekends.
7. Private room with a closed door, own computer, headset, and high-speed internet required.
