Are you seeking an exciting opportunity as a Registered Psychiatric (RPN) or Mental Health (MHN) Nurse in Nunavut? Bayshore HealthCare’s Northern Staffing program has been providing high-quality community health care solutions to Canada's North since 1997. Our Healthcare Professionals work closely with diverse Indigenous communities (First Nations, Inuit, and Métis), delivering essential care to community members. We hire passionate team members from across Canada who travel on assignments to remote northern communities in British Columbia, Alberta, Manitoba, Ontario, Yukon, Northwest Territories, and Nunavut. This role offers a unique chance to expand your clinical scope of practice while experiencing adventure! Average assignment durations range from 2 to 6 weeks.

The work you will do:

  • Collaborate with Community Health Nurses in clinics to provide support
  • Assess patients and develop individualized care plans
  • Follow up and reach out to community members. Assist patients as needed
  • In some cases, you may be the sole MHN in the community, so independence and resourcefulness are essential

Who You Are:

  • You are a graduate of an accredited School of Nursing with a valid nursing license in good standing
  • You are a licensed Nurse registered in good standing
  • You are willing to obtain a nursing license in the province or territory where you wish to work
  • You meet the required work experience criteria
  • Mandatory skills, additional training, and reimbursements will be discussed during the interview
