Job description

Aircraft Structural Technician

We are seeking an experienced Aircraft Structural Technician to join our team. Responsibilities include:

1. Repair, replace, and rebuild aircraft structures (wings and fuselage) of varying difficulty levels using hand tools, power tools, machines, and equipment (shears, sheet metal brake, welding equipment, rivet gun, drills).
2. Apply technical expertise to conduct structural repairs and modifications, solving moderate to complex problems.
3. Read and interpret maintenance manuals, service bulletins, technical data, engineering data, and specifications to determine repair methods.
4. Perform damage assessments for engineering purposes.
5. Collaborate with the team leader to ensure work is completed according to schedule.
6. Ensure all work complies with Skyservice's quality standards, policies, procedures, and applicable regulations (Transport Canada).
7. Order parts and supplies as needed.
8. Apply technical knowledge of airframe components.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Valid Transport Canada S license is an asset.
• Minimum of five (5) years of experience as a sheet metal worker.
• Experience related to aircraft maintenance is an asset.
• Valid AVOP (D/A or D) and radio license.
• M license is considered an asset.
• Knowledge of operating welding and brazing equipment is an asset.
• Ability to work under pressure, adapt quickly to change, and work flexible shifts.
• Detail-oriented with a strong focus on safety.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills for team collaboration.

Education:

• Completed a Structure or Sheet Metal program or equivalent.
