Summary of responsibilities

Under the supervision of the Accounting Analyst, the incumbent will be part of the accounting team. The Accounting Technician will be specifically called to:

  • Prepare new client account openings;
  • Invoicing with the correct support documents such as purchase orders;
  • Perform invoice checks prior to payment;
  • Verify employee expense reports and ensure compliance with expense reporting procedures;
  • Process expense reports and send payment notices to suppliers and employees;
  • Log new employees, consultants and tasks into the timesheet system (actiTIME);
  • Produce budget reports from actiTIME at the request of project managers;
  • Produce various reports and documents (invoice, cheque stub, approval sheet, etc.) with accuracy, efficiency and consistency;
  • Perform other related accounting duties.

Requirements

  • DEC or DEP in accounting or related field.
  • Have 3-5 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Experience in engineering, construction or consulting firm is a major asset.
  • Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Be able to communicate in both English and French, both orally and in writing.
  • Knowledge of Quickbooks and actiTIME is an asset.

Additional Information

  • The position will be based at the G Mining Services office in Brossard.
  • Possibility of working in hybrid mode (office and remote work).
  • Possibility to travel internationally and within Canada based on candidate’s availability.
