Summary of responsibilities

Under the supervision of the Accounting Analyst, the incumbent will be part of the accounting team. The Accounting Technician will be specifically called to:

• Prepare new client account openings
• Invoicing with the correct support documents such as purchase orders;
• Perform invoice checks prior to payment;
• Verify employee expense reports and ensure compliance with expense reporting procedures
• Process expense reports and send payment notices to suppliers and employees;
• Log new employees, consultants and tasks into the timesheet system (actiTIME);
• Produce budget reports from actiTIME at the request of project managers;
• Produce various reports and documents (invoice, cheque stub, approval sheet, etc.) with accuracy, efficiency and consistency;
• Perform other related accounting duties.

Requirements

• DEC or DEP in accounting or related field;
• Have 3-5 years of experience in a similar role
• Experience in engineering, construction or consulting firm is a major asset
• Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel;
• Be able to communicate in both English and French, both orally and in writing;
• Knowledge of Quickbooks and actiTIME is an asset.
