Job summary

The City of Maple Ridge is seeking a Maintenance Worker Utilities (Sewer) to carry out manual, technical tasks for maintaining the City’s sanitary and storm sewer systems. You will inspect, operate, and repair sewer infrastructure and respond to service calls as required.

Based at the Maple Ridge Operations Centre, this role requires safety focus, the ability to read plans, and operation of heavy equipment.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 plus related experience or equivalent.
• Ability to read plans and perform basic maintenance tasks.
• Strong safety awareness and ability to work outdoors in all weather.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, repair and maintain sewer mains, services and pumps.
• Respond to service calls and assist water distribution as needed.
• Interpret plans and ensure safety standards are followed.
