Job summary

The University of Saskatchewan invites applications for a Sessional Lecturer in Drama to teach two in-person courses during the Winter Term 2026-27. The position covers DRAM 498.3 and the Greystone Theatre Performance series, with a January–April schedule and enrolment limits of 12, 32, 10, or 8 depending on course.

Qualified candidates will hold an MFA or equivalent theatre experience and have teaching experience with undergraduates; voice and speech training knowledge is an asset.

Qualifications

• Some knowledge of voice and speech training would be an asset.

Responsibilities

• Teach DRAM 498.3 and Greystone Theatre Performance I, II, III courses in-person.
• Deliver course content for winter term 2026-27 and coordinate with cross-listed sections meeting at the same time.
• Provide preparation and marking for courses; ensure adherence to CUPE 3287 guidelines.

Term and Course Dates: Term Two (January to April)

Delivery Mode: This course will be offered in-person.
Course Schedule: Mondays, 1:30-4:20PM
Expected Enrollment Limit: 12
Location: Saskatoon
Qualifications: An M.F.A. degree in acting or visual art, or equivalent acting & theatre design experience as well as experience in teaching these topics to undergraduate students. Some knowledge of voice and speech training would also be an asset.

A valid driver’s license is required for any off-campus courses. Appointment periods include additional days in recognition of preparation and marking time required. Courses may be cancelled due to low enrolment.
