University of Regina invites applications for one Sessional Lecturer to teach SW 346-400 Social Work Practice I during Winter 2027. Course delivered in blended format with synchronous Zoom delivery and 5 lectures scheduled Wednesdays 2:30–5:15 p.m.

Courses may require office hours and candidate consultation with the Associate Dean. Applicants must hold an MSW degree and have related experience; strong communications and organizational skills are essential.

• Preparing the course outline, designing relevant assignments, evaluating and grading student work, and submitting student grades by the required deadline.
• Teaching course content that follows the course description, established learning objectives, and university academic guidelines.
• Delivering 5 lectures throughout the semester.
• Encouraging and maintaining a safe and collaborative classroom environment.
• Providing regular support to students on course work during office hours, and as required by students.
• Consulting with the Associate Dean (Undergraduate Programs) on academic or student- related matters as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements

Physical Demands Pay Grade Faculty Sessional Salary Range As per URFA Collective Agreement Status Term Work Hours This course is offered on Wednesday’s 02:30 p.m. – 05:15 p.m. Required synchronous dates: Jan 13, Feb 10, Mar 10, Mar 31, Apr 7

The Sessional Lecturer is expected to teach remote via zoom (synchronous) for each of the 5 lectures, be in the Zoom 10-15 minutes before each class starts, as well as offer regular office hours for their students each week.
