SS&C Technologies Canada Corp. in Toronto is seeking a Junior Business Analyst to support client projects and internal teams in a fast-paced environment. The role focuses on requirements gathering, early analysis, and contributing to solution design within a hybrid work model.

You will work with project managers, develop strong client relationships, and help deliver data transformation initiatives, particularly around iFast migrations. A background in IT and SDLC experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• 10+ years of IT experience, including 3+ years in application architecture and 5+ years in software design and development.
• Strong expertise in structured and object-oriented programming, along with advanced knowledge of relational databases and SQL.
• Solid understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and proven experience in effort estimation and solution planning.
• Demonstrated ability to gather and negotiate client requirements, paired with strong analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal in English), with experience in financial services or mutual fund applications considered an asset.

Responsibilities

• Provide subject matter expertise in application architecture and deliver technical guidance aligned with business strategies.
• Lead Agile activities, including sprint planning and daily scrums, while reviewing system and application documentation to ensure quality and consistency.
