Job summary

Equitable in Waterloo, Ontario, is seeking a skilled IT professional to maintain and enhance shared technology solutions and infrastructure. You will collaborate with cross-functional partners to develop, test, and refine systems that serve internal and external clients, tackling complex challenges and driving process improvements.

The role is hybrid: two in-office days every other week, plus a fifth day each month, with opportunities to work from the office more.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years of IT experience with cross-functional collaboration.
• Post-secondary degree in CS, CE, SE or related discipline.
• Certifications related to the ServiceNow platform or supporting technologies are preferred.
• Experience designing and maintaining enterprise platforms, especially ServiceNow.
• Proficiency with ServiceNow scripting languages (JavaScript, Jelly, Glide API).
• Hands-on experience with ServiceNow integrations (REST/SOAP) and Mid Server connectivity.
• Strong client experience focus and professional communication.
• Growth mindset, continuous improvement, and knowledge sharing.

Responsibilities

• Support implementation of policies, standards, and procedures for architecture and governance of technical systems.
• Collaborate with Business and IT on solution design, development, and quality management for shared infrastructure.
• Enhance client satisfaction by addressing system issues and maintaining solutions.
• Perform hands-on configuration, troubleshooting, upgrades, and hardware/software replacements.
• Maintain internal process documentation and quality artifacts for compliance.
• Inspect systems to identify efficiency improvements and optimize performance.
• Provide technical guidance to peers and end-users for continuous delivery.
• Design, manage, and support the ServiceNow platform including scripting, automation, and integrations.
