LeverageTek is actively seeking a ServiceNow Developer for a permanent position with its Ottawa-based customer.

Work Location

The successful candidate will be required to work hybrid - 1 day a week in the office until September, then 3 days a week at HQ in Ottawa.

Key Tasks

1. Lead in the design and development of solutions appropriate to business and system requirements within the target platform.
2. Participate in peer reviews of technical specifications of client requirements.
3. Develop, write, and test applications, hardware interfaces, systems interconnections, and software; identify, define, and correct maintenance problems.
4. Identify opportunities and assist in research and recommendation of initiatives to enhance functionality, performance, and reduce costs.
5. Provide accurate and timely Level of Effort (LOE) estimates for solutions of varying sizes.
6. Participate in code walkthroughs and provide feedback to team members.
7. Create clear, concise, and standard technical documentation and specifications for solutions; contribute to relevant documentation by other groups.
8. Assist in troubleshooting and problem-solving for new applications/system modifications, promoting best practices and standard procedures.

Key Qualifications

• At least three (3) years of experience as a software/application developer.
• At least two (2) years of demonstrable ServiceNow development and configuration experience.

Qualifications

• Experience analyzing, recommending, designing, and implementing solutions aligned with core technologies, including understanding of Core Functionality, Reporting, Interfaces, Customizations, and Extensions.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) or relevant certifications.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies.
• Experience with automated testing and continuous integration.
