Job summary

Manitoulin Transport is seeking a Service Writer to provide technical direction and accountability for scheduling all equipment service and repairs with the internal team within the service operation.

The role requires collaboration with the shop manager/foreman to maintain timelines and workflow, and with shop mechanics to ensure timely, accurate service reports are prepared. Strong communication and cost-conscious problem-solving are essential.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education is required.
• At least 5 years of experience in service operations.
• Knowledge of the AS-400.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and decision-making abilities.
• Technical, mechanical, and problem-solving skills.
• Focus on cost analysis and cost reduction.
